Requirements: Education: Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training Credentials (certificated, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Welder Trade Certification, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice Experience: 3 - 5 years Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English Main Work Area: New Fabrication Area of Specialization: Truck repair Welding positions: All Materials: Steel, iron and heavy metals, Aluminum alloys Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) Additional Skills: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, make shop sketches Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed boots, Face shield, Welding helmet Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Decision making Other: Must have strong fitting skills to be considered |
